For every product, we track every listing we can find across the stores we support (currently Amazon and Flipkart) and combine five signals into a single, weighted score: star rating (40%), how many reviews back that rating (20%, scaled so going from 10 to 100 reviews matters more than going from 900 to 1,000), how competitive the price is against every other tracked listing for that exact product (25%), whether the listing is currently in stock and how recently we confirmed that (10%), and a small fixed weight (5%) for stores with stronger buyer-protection programs. The listing with the highest combined score becomes the "Best Pick" shown at the top of the product page — every other tracked listing is still shown underneath it, so you can see exactly what we compared it against.
Every listing we track is re-checked daily. If a price, rating, or stock status changes, it's reflected the next time our tracker runs, and the price history chart on each product page is built from those daily checks — not a single snapshot.
A listing is marked in stock only if the source store's own page showed it as purchasable the last time we checked. If a listing gets pulled or marked unavailable, we stop recommending it as the Best Pick and, if it stays unavailable, remove it from results entirely rather than leave a dead link. If it comes back in stock later, it's automatically re-added.
No. We never let paid placement influence the score above. If a listing is ever sponsored, it will be shown in a clearly separate, labeled slot — never blended into the ranking.
